The Beach, Heaven on Earth!

Hey everyone! So I've decided that there are lots of different "bits and pieces" of heaven on earth. As much as I loved the Cabin, this last weekend I saw the East Coast piece of heaven on earth! TJ had some time off this weekend from school so we took full advantage of it!
First off, he went golfing 18 holes at the Duke Golf course on Thursday. This is not the average golf course, but it was designed by the same man who designed the course in Agusta Georgia. For those who don't now that that is, it is the course that they just played the Masters on this weekend! TJ had a great time and felt very catered too on the course! He loved it!
Then, Friday morning we both went to my Dr.'s appointment where Tj heard the heartbeat for the first time! Our provider had a hard time finding it at first because the baby was so incredibly active. I blame that on TJ! =) It was really neat though! We scheduled our ultrasound for May 9th, we are very excited and hopefully it won't take TOO long for it to get here! =)
After that, we headed to the beach! It was a FABULOUS weekend! When we arrived, I immediately fell in love with our cute little condo! It was great! It really was literally RIGHT off the beach and it was HUGE! I loved it! We spend the rest of the day on the beach swimming in the water (it was a little chilly, but not too bad) and building the BIGGEST sea turtle ever! It was so much fun! That evening we made some spaghetti then headed to the pier. We saw a huge pelican and watched it eat a fish which was great! We also saw someone catch a shark, which was so neat! The sunset was beautiful as well, it was great! We finished off the night by walking along the cape river in downtown wilmington, it was beautiful!
Saturday, we woke up to a fabulous sunrise and started off the day with a walk on the beach. TJ found SOOO many seashells including a Conche shell! Then we headed off to the USS North Carolina which is a HUGE ship that was in all of the offensive stands in World war II. It had about 3,000 people on it at all times, and only lost 10 in battle! It was amazing! That night, we went to eat at a seafood restaurant on the beach, which had AMAZING food, including bacon wrapped shrimp in a sesame sauce! YUMMMMM!!! To finish off our night we went on a haunted tour of Wilmington, where you walk through the cute town and you have a tour guide who tells you all about the old ghost stories in the town! It was really good!
This morning we woke up, took one last walk on the beach and headed home for church. Unfortuntely TJ woke up with a HORRIBLE cold and was miserable the entire morning! =) Poor guy, he's getting A LOT Of medicine before bed tonight! =) We also celebrated two of our friends birthday tonight, by having one over for dinner and having cupcakes and candles with them and our other friends tonight! It has been a great weekend!
well, we hope you all have a great week! we love you all and hope everyone is doing well! If anyone wants to come and visit, they are more then welcome! We love you all!

It really looks beautiful there. I am sure that Christian hopes that we will end up on the east coast someday. I am glad to see how much fun you guys still get to have even though TJ is still in school. It gives me hope!
