Hello ya'll!
I hope that everyone was able to have a great week last week! TJ and I had a very busy week, as usual, but it was full of fun (for the most part!) TJ had a test on Wednesday and Friday which he did GREAT on both and was very happy to have them over with! I worked the least amount of hours this week, but still felt busier then ever! So many patients equals so much paperwork! =)
We also had the opportunity to have a BYU student come and stay with us while he was interviewing at Duke's med school. He arrived on Wednseday night just after nine 0'clock so we took him home so he could change and then TJ drove him around in the dark so he could see some fo Durham. I tried to go as well, but fell asleep half way through the tour! Thursday night was Duke vs. NC state so we went and waited three hours in line (plus it was freezing cold) so that Chris (the BYU student) could go do the game. It was long, cold, but totally worth it! The game was really close and Greg Paulus did AWESOME! The game wasn't until nine o'clock at night and didn't get over until eleven thirty! Then TJ had to wake up and take Chris to the airport by 5:30. Needless to say come Saturday we were both exhuasted and ready to sleep in! =)
Friday night we headed out to support the lady blue devils who are ranked number ten in the nation! I was all excited to go, plus Brooke and Jason along with their kids came too! The game was somewhat of a let down though, as both team shot SOOOO many airballs, the turnovers were herrendous, and the mechanics were all off! I was quite disappointed, but they won anyway so it was still somewhat fun! Saturday was a pretty lazy day as we stayed around the house cleaning, studying and then running errands! That night we just made some homemade cookies and watched the Duke basketball game against Miami! It was very relaxing and just what we needed!
Then, SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! We headed of to church which was wonderful! My little nursery kids were as cute as ever! Tj's class also listened for him and he had better participationg with his lesson! Then we went to our neighbors for a little super bowl get together! It was a lot of fun! We were responsible for bringing "pop" since we would not be bringing our own beer! Everyone was cheering for the Giants so it was very exciting when they won! Plus, the host Dave, had made individual bingo cards with different football penalties, punts, fieldgoals, commercials etc. to fill out while you watched. It was very clever! And the food, DELICIOUS! By the end of the game though, the commercials were much funnier to those people who had been drinking then to us that were sober! It was funny just to laugh at those who had elevated alcohol levels! They were all very well behaved and no one was really drunk! It was a good time!
This week we are studying and working again! Tj has some major tests coming up in the next few weeks so I don't know how much playing we will be able to do, but I'm sure we'll be able to work it in sometime! =) We hope you all have a wonderful week!
Love you all!
